Rock the High-Rise Trouser Trend Perfectly Tailored to Your Body Type.

High-rise trousers are a versatile and stylish piece that can be worn in various ways. First I want to mention that high-rise trousers are not for every body type. The ideal rise is the length between your crotch and natural waistline, which is obviously different for everyone.

High-rise trousers are the most flattering on X (hourglass) and S (standard) body types, which have a more defined or very defined waist. It’s a no-go for an O (apple) as this body type carries the weight in the middle and the high-rise trousers would emphasize this area. Here are some tips to wear them:

  • Tuck in Your Top: High-rise trousers pair well with tucked in blouses, shirts or tees. This highlights your waist and creates a sleek silhouette.

  • Crop Tops: For a more modern look, wear high-rise trousers with a crop top. This combination balances the proportions and adds a contemporary touch.

  • Layering: Add a third layer like a blazer, leather jacket or denim jacket. This not only creates more interest to an outfit but also instantly changes the style vibe.

  • Put a belt on it: A belt always accentuates your waist even more, this only applies to the A-, X- and S-body type (the ones with the defined waist). Choose a statement belt for a more edgy vibe or a simple one for a minimalistic look.

  • Footwear: High-rise trousers look great with a variety of shoes. Pairing heels with high-rise trousers will make your legs look even longer, while sneakers or loafers add a more casual vibe.

  • Statement pieces: Statement jewelry or accessories add more personality to your outfit.

  • Play with Proportions: Mix and match different fits and textures. If you are a V-body type, pair wide-leg high-rise trousers with a fitted top, if you are an H-body type pair slim high-rise trousers with a loose, flowy blouse to create harmony.

  • Monochrome Style: Wear your high-rise trousers and top in the same color for a lengthening, slimming and elegant effect. The color shades don’t have to be the exact same (this would be a bit boring), one can be a tiny bit darker than the other one which also comes in handy for the body type - for an A for example, wear the darker shade on the bottom and the lighter on top)
